The Odisha Higher Education Department has officially published the 2026–27 admission timeline under SAMS.

Eligibility

For the 3-year Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed., the 2026–27 Odisha notification says applicants must have passed a Postgraduate (PG) examination in Science, Social Science or Humanities from a recognized institution. The eligible PG subjects are to be checked in the official information brochure.

This is also consistent with the NCTE eligibility framework, which specifies a postgraduate degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities with 55% marks or equivalent grade for the Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. programme, with applicable reservation relaxation.

So, if you have only a Bachelor's degree, you cannot use this 3-year Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. route.

For Odisha's 2026–27 admission, selection is through a centralized SAMS selection process, based on career marks and reservation.

So the process is essentially:

PG qualification → SAMS CAF → merit/career marks → seat allotment → Freeze/Slide → admission

The official SAMS portal confirms that applications are submitted online through the Common Application Form (CAF) and selection is centralized.

Last date: 30 August 2026, 11:45 PM

CAF editing: 31 August 2026

First-round selection/admission: September 2026

Second/final round: September 2026

Waiting/spot round: late September 2026

Classes commence: 27 September 2026

There are some OCR/date-formatting errors in the Government PDF, but the application opening and closing dates are clearly shown as 20 August and 30 August 2026.
