Here are the details of the SSC CHSL Exam ¹ ²:

- Tier 1- Computer-Based Exam

- Tier 2- Descriptive Paper

- Tier 3- Skill Test                                                                                    

- Tier 1 includes 100 questions that cover a range of topics such as English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. 

                                                                                                                                                                

- Tier 2 includes essay writing and application/letter writing.

- Tier 3 is a skill test that includes a typing test.

- The time duration for Tier 1 is 60 minutes and Tier 2 is 80 minutes.

- The typing speed for Tier 3 should be at least 35 words per minute for English and 30 words per minute for Hindi.

- The exam includes negative markings.

- Tier 1 has a negative marking of 0.50 for every wrong answer.

- Tier 2 has a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.

 - Name of Exam: Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL)

- Conducted by: Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

- Purpose of Exam: To recruit for Group B and Group C (Gazetted and non-Gazetted) posts in different Government of India institutions

- Mode of Exam: Computer-based online mode

- Exam Pattern:

- Tier 1: 100 objective-type MCQs for a total of 200 marks

- Tier 2: 3 papers- Paper I (Compulsory for All Posts), Paper II (For Junior Statistical Officer - JSO), and Paper III (For Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer)

- Duration of Exam: 60 minutes or 1 hour for Tier 1 and 2 hours 30 minutes for Tier 2

- Negative Marking: ½ mark for every incorrect answer in Tier 1 and 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and ½ marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III
